SABOR IN THE HUNTER, Pokolbin is set on Lambloch Estate, a 20 acre living and working vineyard on Broke Road with approximately 11 acres of Shiraz and Semillon vines that date back to the 1950s. Sharing this beautiful architecturally designed building with the Lambloch cellar door allows customers to come and not only indulge in dessert but also taste and buy some of the Hunter Valley's best wines.
After opening the original Hunter Valley Dessert Bar in Lovedale, there was soon a need to grow. Not wanting to destroy the quaint and peaceful atmosphere created at Lovedale, the next best thing was to find a new location nearby. What better location than Pokolbin and the beautiful Lambloch Estate?
SABOR IN THE HUNTER at Pokolbin is a modern, fully air conditioned building with large sliding doors that can be opened to allow the soft vineyard breeze to come through. This location is slightly larger than Lovedale, which means large groups can be easily accommodated.
Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and indulge in desserts, coffee, tea and matching wines, not to mention (again) the breath taking views of the vineyard below as well as Brokenback Mountain Range.
Over the last 3 years SABOR have grown their dessert menu to include over 50 different desserts, each one created individually as nothing is served by the slice. This brings a new level of culinary delight to desserts in the Hunter Valley. Indulge in multi-award winning Portuguese Chocolate Mousse, decadent cakes, pastries, hand-made chocolates, Portuguese tarts and gourmet ice-cream. A large range of gluten free desserts, barista-made Glinelli coffee and a selection of teas are available to enjoy in the fully air-conditioned dessert bar or to take away and savour in your home or hotel.
